The story

Return Magic was Ensembl3's earlier shot at the returns problem on Shopify — a self-serve returns flow built to convert refunds into exchanges and store credit, so a return became the start of the next purchase instead of the end of the relationship. The app launched on the Shopify App Store, scaled to thousands of merchants, and was acquired by Shopify in 2018 to become the foundation of the platform's native returns system. We list it here as track record, not as a current product: it's the longest-running proof that the studio understands Shopify deeply enough to ship something Shopify itself decided to absorb.
